SMSC AT GREENACRE SCHOOL

Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural Development at Greenacre is an important part of daily life. Our young people are part of the Greenacre community as soon as they get on the school bus each morning. A core strength of our community is our values. We endeavour to model our values in everything we do. Well-chosen values are inspiring and empowering. They support young people to develop their social and emotional skills and strengths, enabling them to feel fulfilled and succeed. Our curriculum allows us to incorporate SMSC in lessons which we hope will prepare our young people to be valued members of society. Celebration days, PSHE days, competitions, community visits, sporting events and assemblies at Greenacre all come under the banner of SMSC development; an intrinsic part of our ethos as a school. SMSC and our PSHE programme enables us to provide a comprehensive approach to personal development; equipping our pupils with the information and skills needed to thrive in school and beyond.
